Hmmm.
Lost this for awhile.
I often wonder whether artists create art because of an innate urge or is it more complex than that? Is it an intellectual urge? a need to do something special? be noticed? just the act of creation?
Sometimes I think it is a combination of satisfying physical responses, sort of like an endorphin rush from running. I have noticed that when I am involved in a drawing or painting my mind goes into a "zone" . . .maybe a different brain wave pattern that resembles meditation, so that when I stop what I am doing I feel satisfied, refreshed, calm and a bit tired but filled with a clarity of pupose.
Anyone have an opinion?
